Family Dentistry

Although Fairlington Dental specializes in cosmetic dentistry, our practice provides total dental health care for you and your family.

Without basic care, the wonders of cosmetic dentistry would not be possible. Healthy teeth, gums and mouth are essential before cosmetic treatments can begin.

Early diagnosis of the initial dental problem allows for the most conservative and least invasive procedures.

Procedures

Modern dentistry offers a wide variety of treatments that can address many deficiencies. From porcelain veneers to cosmetic whitening, the sparkling, healthy smile you’ve always wanted is within your reach, often in just one visit!

Cosmetic dentistry requires deliberate, precise technique and the highest level of quality control. At Fairlington Dental, we can deliver on the promise of a brighter, healthier smile because we continually update our training, technology and equipment.

Among our our state-of-the-art technology is the replacement of the tradional X-ray with digital radiography, which greatly lessens patient exposure to radiation.

We also use an intraoral camera to take photographs inside your mouth. Often a tooth will not start bothering a patient until there is a significant loss of tooth structure. This new camera is an excellent way to detect dental problems early, allowing resotration before pain or tooth loss occurs.

And our sterilization processes are of hospital level quality. Using the latest in sterilization equipment and procedures, we can verify and document actual exposure treatments and time, thereby ensuring optimal protection for our patients from bacterial and viral infections.

TMJ/Orthodontics

Our office is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ disorders and orthodontics. TMJ stands for “tempromandibular joint” which is the jaw joint. Patients with TMJ disorders may experience headaches, earaches, neck and back pain, clicking in the jaw, sensitive teeth, or grinding of the teeth. The treatment for TMJ disorders begins with proper diagnosis, and may include splints, physical therapy, chiropractics, orthodontics or restorative dentistry.

Orthodontics is the straightening of teeth using appliances, with or without wires. Our office focuses on functional jaw orthopedics, which is properly aligning the jawbones prior to the straightening the teeth. The International Association certifies both Dr. Brown and Dr. Rogers for Orthodontics.
